AND
1 Metre of the B form of x 1/2" (12.7mm) wide x 1.5 mm thickness
Supplied with an adhesive backing protected by an easy to peel plastic tape.
This isotropic ceramic strip magnet is only magnetized on one side and is multipolar. It can be easily cut with a craft knife or with sharp scissors. It is ideal for craft projects since the unmagnetized surface has a very strong acrylic adhesive backing known as tesa. Simply cut to size, remove the easy to peel backing plastic and stick the magnet directly to your item.
Magnetic strip is magnetised across the width and is multipolar so that there are alternating bands of North and South polarisation. The outside edges always have the same polarisation. This means that when brought together, they do not line up but are offset by the width of the magnetic bands. To counteract this, it is produced in two forms known as A and B. They are distinguished by the A form having a fine line running the length of the strip. One form is magnetised N-S-N-S-N and the other is magnetised S-N-S-N-S. This listing is for one metre of both forms (A and B) which means that pieces of each will always align exactly.
The easy peel backing is great for little hands, fat fingers and short nails!
Ideal for making for fridge magnets out of:
- images
- moulding clay
- wood
- plastic
- and other craft and educational projects.
These magnets have a pull of approximately 104 grams for every centimetre (length) to a horizontal soft iron surface. This equates to approximately 26 grams per centimetre on a vertical surface such as a fridge.
