  • Magnetised through the thickness so that one flat face is north and the other is south
  • Passivated phosphate coating prevents rusting

The length of the magnet means that it very easy to TIP it to it's edge to remove it and, therefore, the pull and hold will feel significantly less than the calculation figures shown.

This is a seriously powerful magnet and is totally unsuitable for children.

Like all rod magnets, these are often used as reed switches.
