These are ideal for making magnetic door/drawer closures. Embed one magnet in either the door/drawer and another in the frame, taking care to make sure they attract, not repel. If space is an issue, use one magnet and a countersunk washer as a 'striker plate'. Fix in place with a 2 part epoxy resin or similar adhesive.
They can also be used for a large range of hobby crafting, DIY and MRO uses. If you need to use an adhesive, we recommend using something that will bind to metal and whatever surface you want to glue the magnet to.
The pull is calculated using a mathematical formula and is, therefore, the theoretical maximum hold between one magnet and a mild steel plate. It does not take account of manufacturing tolerances, plating, plating thickness or variances in a mild steel plate. The vertical hold is based upon the calculated pull and is, therefore, only for guidance. Factors such as paint thickness, plasticised surfaces, movement and vibration are not taken into account.
WARNING: Neodymium magnets are unsuitable for children under 8. All neodymium magnets are brittle. Do not allow these magnets to jump together or to an iron/steel surface - they will break, crack, chip or shatter. Thin neodymium magnets DO NOT FLEX, if you attempt to flex them they will snap in half. THIS IS NOT A TOY. DO NOT INGEST.

We aim to ship all items as soon as payment is cleared. This means that items ordered and paid for by 12 noon (UK time) Monday-Friday are usually dispatched on the same day. Items ordered and paid for after 12 noon or over the weekend are sent on the next working day. We never charge excessive amounts for postage and packaging. Our P&P charges are made up of the Royal Mail charge for the service plus a small contribution towards the packaging materials, plus VAT, which we are legally obliged to charge.
EU CUSTOMERS IMPORTANT: You are will be required to pay import VAT (tax) at your local rate to your postal delivery service before any goods are delivered. Since 2021 you have not been charged British VAT (at 20%) on any purchases, however, with effect from 1 January 2022, the rules regarding importing from outside the EU changed and import VAT is now payable on any value of goods imported into the EU.
