There’s a reason why we send out a yellow and black warning leaflet with all our neodymium, samarium cobalt, alnico and ceramic 8 magnets. Magnets placed near areas of soft tissue (eg. up the nose, or in the ear) can cause compression of these delicate areas. Neodymium is especially bad for this and must NEVER be used to make fake cheek or lip piercings.
The following article http://bit.ly/IpQujN demonstrates just how dangerous neodymium magnets can be, from the photograph, we suspect the magnet is about 8x5mm.
