Autumn Leaves and fridge magnets

It’s half term in Wiltshire and, once again, we’ve had little helpers in the office.  In an effort to keep them entertained, we came up with a project they could do without any assistance from us – turning autumn leaves into fridge magnets. Our office fridge has worn many different fridge magnets over the years but this is the first … Continue reading

Made in Britain

We have recently launched a range of ready made, collectible fridge magnets. Liese is sourcing the items to be turned into fridge magnets and is fixing the magnets in place either in our unit or during the evenings in front of the TV. It has been brought to our attention that this means that our new range of fridge magnets … Continue reading

Postcard Fridge Magnets

If your fridge is anything like mine, it’s probably covered in postcards that have been sent from relatives around the world. Currently decorating my fridge are postcards from Malta, USA, Germany and deepest darkest Wiltshire! Keeping the postcards in place requires magnets, but we’ve had a bit of a brainwave – why not change the postcard into fridge magnets? That … Continue reading

It’s 8am on Christmas Eve and we’ve brought our two little helpers into the unit this morning in preparation for shutting after the post is collected. Magnetic reward charts for kids

Behaviour reward charts are a fantastic parenting tool but they often need to be reinforced over and over before the child routinely follows your rules.  There are loads of charts available to download and print, but these are all single use and only last for one week.  What if you want to be able to re-use them? This is a … Continue reading

Magnetic pram corsages and charms

We receive a lot of enquiries about which magnets are needed to make pram flowers, pram corsages and pram charms. We thought it about time we put together a blog article about it. We’ve hunted for a tutorial specifically for making pram corsages or flowers but if they’re available, we couldn’t find them. What we did find was hundreds of … Continue reading

Coin Sizes

Yes, we know it’s a bit odd that a magnet company should be talking about the size of coins, however, we often get asked for magnets “about the size of a £1.00 coin”.  We also use a 50 pence coin in a lot of our photographs for scale purposes, so it seemed a good idea to measure a selection of … Continue reading

Washi tape magnets – so quick, so easy, so pretty!

While we were making the washi tape peg magnets, we had a bit of a brain wave!  We sell 1/2″, 1″ and 2″ wide self adhesive flexible magnetic strip by the metre and it’s great for holding things on our warehouse racking, but it’s a bit boring and brown to look at … not anymore!  20 minutes of playing around and … Continue reading

Washi Peg fridge magnets tutorial

We’ve discovered Washi Tape and it’s beautiful! After some discussion, we decided to use it to make pretty peg fridge magnets using some wooden pegs and some neodymium magnets. The first job was to measure the width of the pegs which turned out to be just over 9mm so we used 9x1mm neodymium disk magnets for this project. You will … Continue reading
