It’s 8am on Christmas Eve and we’ve brought our two little helpers into the unit this morning in preparation for shutting after the post is collected.
They’re a little bored so we’ve come up with a plan using some old Christmas decorations and some magnets!
We’ve used:
- Cheap plastic baubles
- Wired ribbon
- Self Adhesive flexible magnetic strip
- Self Adhesive 10x1mm neodymium disks
- Self Adhesive 15x1mm neodymium disks
- Scissors
This is what we used
For the baubles:
We used a combination of self adhesive 10x1mm neodymium disks and self adhesive flexible strip to stick to the baubles. The children found the self adhesive flexible strip easier to handle

We then tested them on the filing cabinet – they were so pleased with themselves!

For the wired ribbon:
The children needed assistance to tie the bow but then the self adhesive 15x1mm neodymium disks came into their own.

We then relocated everything to the fridge in the unit

Hey presto – kids entertained for half an hour and a festively decorated fridge in the unit.
Our fridge is now ready for the festive season
