For some inexplicable reason, our big deliveries always seem to turn up on a Friday, usually, at the most inconvenient time. We were expecting 3 pallets of approximately 1 million magnets to be delivered and as time ticked on to mid-day, we decided that to run a ‘book’ on just when it would arrive.
- Tandy, (Warehouse), chose 1.19pm (when the postie usually turns up)
- Liese (eBay admin) chose 2.28pm (when she and Tandy are just packing up to do the school runs)
- Ann (Accounts) chose 3.15pm which is when the couriers start arriving to collect the packages going out.
- Dan (Warehouse), chose 4.31pm just as he walks out of the door for the day
- Guy chose 5pm on the basis that he was bound to be on his own when the carrier arrived.
The carrier finally turned up at 2.31pm, Liese thinks she should have put money on it!
